Complete Streets is a transportation infrastructure approach that designs streets for all users, not just cars. The MobilityWorks 2.0 program continues JTA’s implementation of Complete Streets across the region.

The Edgewood Avenue Corridor Complete Streets project extends from the Moncrief Creek Bridge approach at Lorain Street to US-1/New Kings Rd. From the Moncrief Creek Bridge to Lem Turner Road, Edgewood will be reduced from five to three lanes, travel lanes will be reduced from 12 to 11 feet in width, and bike lanes and sidewalks will be installed. West of Lem Turn Road to US-1, the 12-foot dual left turn lane will be replaced with a 16-foot landscaped median with left turn pockets, and travel lanes will be reduced from 12 to 11 feet in width. The project also includes transit enhancements such as Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant bus stops, improved amenities and shelters, new concrete pads, and direct sidewalk connectivity.
