Complete Streets is a transportation infrastructure approach that designs streets for all users, not just cars. The MobilityWorks 2.0 program continues JTA’s implementation of Complete Streets across the region.

The Park Street/Blanding Boulevard project extends from Park Street and Blanding Boulevard to Park Street and King Street. The project will reconstruct the Blanding Boulevard overpass to reduce the existing three southbound lanes to two lanes and reduce all lane widths from 12 to 11 feet. A 12-foot-wide multi-use path with a 6-foot-wide raised buffer between the northbound travel lanes and the path will be installed. New midblock pedestrian crossings with signage will be added at the Park Street intersections with Boone Park, Ingleside Avenue, Avondale Avenue, Willow Branch Park and west of King Street. The project also includes transit enhancements such as Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant bus stops, improved amenities, and direct sidewalk connectivity.
